CADIST (Centre d'Acquisition et de Diffusion de l'Information Scientifique et Technique) since 1980, then COLLEX (Collection d'Excellence) in physics and applied physics, an associate of the BNF until 2013, the University library Joseph-Fourier boasts an extremely rich collection in this field, setting a national benchmark.
This collection represents over 25,000 books, 50 research journals in print subscriptions, 750 titles in digital subscriptions and the archives of over 600 print journal titles.
A collection unique in France Some of these journal archives are part of a national shared conservation plan, managed by the UGA in partnership with the Centre Technique du Livre de l'Enseignement Supérieur (CTLES). Of the corpus conserved at the University library Joseph-Fourier, 72 titles are unicas, meaning that only the UGA owns them in France, and 50 titles have only two locations.
This collection also includes comprehensive congress collections (AIP, IEEE, MRS, SPIE, NATO...). As complete collections, they constitute unica and are widely consulted via interlibrary loan.
