INAthèque

The Law and Humanities libraries (Saint-Martin-d'Hères campus) and the library of the Institute of Communication and Media (Yves de la Haye Library) are reference centers for the INAtèque: an exceptional collection of audiovisual and cinematic heritage waiting to be discovered.

INAthèque

The collections available for consultation cover a large part of the memory of the 20th century in recorded images and sounds. They include the programs of public radio and television (80 years of radio and 70 years of television), content collected under legal deposit since 1995, and since 2009, content from over 14,500 media websites.
 
Designed for independent consultation, INAthèque workstations provide access via an intuitive search interface:
  • in documentary research, to the descriptive notices of all the collections of the Institut national de l'audiovisuel and to the film references of the CNC's digitized collections.
  • viewing and listening: to digitized TV, radio and Web media available on the server, 1 day after broadcast.

In practice

There are two designated stations where you can access the INAtheque, provided you are registered
- on the 3rd floor of the Law and Humanities Library
- in the reading room at the ICM

Please go to the information desk (on the 3rd floor of the Law and Humanities University library , at the ICM library reception desk) to fill out an accreditation form.
No prior reservation is required; simply leave your library card on file for the duration of your visit.

The multimedia stations are configured to provide access to INAtheque content for viewing only. Downloading content to a USB drive, as well as taking photos or videos of the INAthèque, is prohibited.
Search data is automatically cleared after half an hour of inactivity. If necessary, click the “Clear My History” button to reset the search screen.
