Every month, the Bibliothèque Universitaire Joseph-Fourier hosts a workshop to spread scientific culture: la science infuse.
For this last lecture of 2024, we are delighted to welcome Denis Trystram, Professor of Computer Science at Grenoble INP, Université Grenoble Alpes, and member of the Multidisciplinary Institute in Artificial intelligence.

Since the appearance 2 years ago of the ChatGPT conversational agent, generative Artificial Intelligence continues to develop. The environmental cost of these AIs is considerable, both for training large models and for using trained models.
Denis Trystram will analyze the dynamics of this growth, and open up avenues of reflection for a reasoned use that respects planetary limits.
