A space to actively shape your practices and what you expect from university libraries
At UGA, the student experience is shaped day by day: through administrative procedures, digital services, orientation, academic support, and student life initiatives. As students progress through their academic journey, certain observations emerge: procedures that could be simpler, information that is easier to understand, and processes that flow more smoothly. The User Committees are part of this dynamic. They serve as forums for discussion and proposals, bringing together students and staff to address concrete situations in university life. Each committee focuses on a specific aspect of university life. The goal is to exchange perspectives, analyze experiences, and collectively identify realistic and useful avenues for improvement. The proposals formulated in these committees are reviewed by the organizers and inform their future action plan.
University libraries invite you to participate in this initiative and give you a voice.
Why get involved?
Because improving services also depends on the experiences of those who use them. Participating in a user committee means sharing your experiences as a student, voicing observations drawn from your own journey, contributing to concrete proposals, and taking part in a collective discussion on the university’s development. The committees have no decision-making role. However, their work directly informs the action plans developed by the relevant administrative departments. The proposals made are tracked and monitored. The initiative is being launched on an experimental basis. It is intended to evolve based on feedback.
