How do silence and noise affect your experience at the University library ? What kinds of soundscapes do you look for when you visit libraries? This short survey aims to better understand your needs and expectations.
The survey “Concentration, University library , and Me,” which concluded in May 2026, was a success, garnering 2,950 responses. Among these responses:
Silence emerged as a major factor in concentration (for 68% of respondents)
Noise stood out as the leading factor causing loss of concentration (for 60% of respondents).
This questionnaire on silence is intended to complement the survey on concentration. It aims to better understand your experience with silence and noise in the library.
You can complete it online until October 25. We appreciate the time you are willing to devote to this.
Based on these results, we hope to be able to offer new services and improvements that will enhance our hospitality.
