Research data

Data services :

As with publications, managing research data according to the principles of open science presents major challenges for research, and opens up a wide range of issues.

The Grenoble Alpes data unit helps researchers manage their research data. Its services and actions are described here.

The library plays an active role in the data unit, working alongside computer scientists, researchers and legal experts.

For example, it helps researchers :

  • identify the most appropriate ways of disseminating research data (warehouses, datapaper);
  • to describe data sets;
  • to deposit the games in warehouses.

It helps ANR project leaders to meet the requirements of funders in terms of open science, in particular by helping them to draw up data management plans.

Finally, it offers training and awareness-raising workshops. An online training module is available for doctoral students.

Finally, as part of the CollexThe library has set up a site to support data management in chemistry and physics, built in conjunction with the University of Lyon : Datacc'.
