The University library is responsible for reporting and disseminating your thesis. Here are a few recommendations to follow before defending and depositing your thesis.
Retroplanning
Since 2011, Université Grenoble Alpes has introduced electronic legal deposit for theses, replacing paper deposit. The deposit is a legal obligation, regardless of how you choose to distribute your thesis: without electronic deposit, the thesis cannot be defended.

List of required documents
a PDF file of the thesis, including the Collège doctoral model title page. For cotutelles, use this template
two sets of keywords (in French and English);
two abstracts (in French and English, each not exceeding 4,000 characters including spaces);
a certificate of distribution.
If you want your work to be widely distributed on the Internet, make sure you have all the rights to the documents reproduced in your thesis (image or privacy rights, co-authors' rights in the case of work-based theses). If you don't, you can submit an incomplete version of your thesis.
Deposit in HAL
Deposit your thesis in HAL: a good reflex!
HAL is the French platform for Open Access to research results. If you authorize distribution on the Internet by depositing the PDF of your thesis on TEL, HAL's thesis portal, you can be sure of international visibility.
