Training
In M1, the University library offers training courses at the request of teachers, providing more in-depth knowledge of tools (search engines, journal platforms, databases, etc.), an introduction to informational developments such as open science, or a reminder about bibliographic reporting.
Objectives for the student: efficiency in training and professional life thanks to a better knowledge of Scientific and Technical Information:
  • training in dissertation research strategies ;
  • Introduction to specialized tools in the context of the open science movement: databases, open archives, bibliography management tools;
  • awareness of the risks of plagiarism in the production of a disseminable document; understanding the ethical issues surrounding the openness of scientific production, whatever its form: publications, data, codes and software, theses, etc.
  • method for evaluating and critiquing information sources ;
    • 2 hours are needed to review the tools and resources available in your discipline;
    • An additional 2 hours to deal with the processing of identified documents (evaluation, selection criteria) and their bibliographic reporting (formatting a bibliography).
